HW: Interviews due Friday
•How does the writer open the piece? Is this an effective lead? Why or why not?
ReplyDeleteThey open up with different peoples careers. I think it's effective because its kind of a random choice of careers but it also was a little boring.
•Who is the subject of the article and what is the angle of the story?
The subject was Annie Bersagel, an Olympic Marathon runner. The angle of the story is to get an idea of what her life is like as a runner.
•What details and anecdotes does the writer include about her life that help illustrate the subject's personality?
One part they said was how much she trains. She runs before and after work and goes on long runs on the weekends and she often runs to work. She is a Lawyer and went to Stanford.
•What is your overall impression of the subject after reading this piece?
I'm impressed that she is so good at everything and has a good set goal for herself in the future. I'm also impressed that she has the motivation to keep running everyday and never give up.
